Why bother about client entertainment?
Relationships are at the core of society as a whole: Families, friends, clients, suppliers, you name it. Everything we do involves relationships and how strong these are. The closer these connections are, the more importance and value we place on them. And how do you keep connections alive? Communication, communication, communication! More often than not, communication at work means a formal environment and very results-oriented language which can make conversations seem abrupt and impersonal.
Taking the conversation to a more informal setting like a restaurant or a bar easily changes the dynamics of everyday business. With the slog of the working day gone, people relax and share stories that help build long-lasting connections. You also create a new story together by enjoying good food and drinks together. Memories are not tangible, but so much more powerful than, say, a bottle of wine for someone's birthday. Time spent with our clients allows us to create memories and strengthen our relationships.

, which we used as an excuse to invite our clients to London to celebrate the new look of Entura, but we also do stuff on a smaller scale. Only last week, we met some of our clients in London and had great conversations over dinner. We made some fantastic memories, too, when participating in a chilli food challenge together and showing just how competitive some of our team members are! Feedback from clients about these sorts of nights out (or on our roof terrace!) has been overwhelmingly positive. We love sharing these stories and there will be more to come on this blog and on our social media profiles!
